Deepwater Horizon – Making the film

Deepwater Horizon
The first time I received an email about Deepwater Horizon I wasn’t going to run it. However, I got a nice email from the PR company running the campaign. It did actually change my mind. I was expecting some sappy feel-good disaster movie. That went away after watching the trailer. This even more so. What they actually put the cast and crew through. Not only that. They constructed the entire drilling rig in a water tank then they started to blow it up.

On April 20th, 2010, the world’s largest man-made disaster occurred on the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. Directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor), this story honours the brave men and women whose heroism would save many on board, and change everyone’s lives forever.

Crashing into UK cinemas September 2016
