Gareth Edwards’ Monsters gets a sequel

Monsters Dark Continent
Yesterday we received the first trailer for the upcoming sequel to Godzilla director’s début feature, Monsters.  It has the same feel as the original but with much more of a budget.

The trailer is basically a rap song about what is going on in the trailer. I thought, OK, now what? Then he sings about “Giant sand bugs” and that woke me up. They are enormous, not giant. They seem to be coming out of the sand as well.

It’s probably time to watch the trailer for original.  It’s always good to catch up on what happened 10 years before this film is set. As well as the 4 years between that film coming out and the sequel.

Ten years on from the events of Monsters, and the ‘Infected Zones’ have spread worldwide.

Two soldiers embark on a life-altering mission through the dark heart of monster territory in the deserts. By the time they reach their goal, they will have been forced to confront the fear that fighting the monsters is just the beginning of their war.

Infecting UK cinemas soon
