More from the Guardians

A whole new set of images have just been launched of Peter Quill and the gang.

From a great group shot of our “heroes”, armed to the teeth, via shots of what Quill stole to cause him to be chased around the galaxy. Ending up with a great shot of the evil villain played by Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan.

This group of misfits is a world away from The Avengers. They are the bad side of good.

The only time I have seen the Guardians is from an episode of the Amazing Spider-Man. If the characters from that episode are anything to go by then I would expect a great, fun, movie.

It’ll probably be hated by the hardcore Marvel fans but the fans that only know the characters from the movies then this is going to be enjoyable. Ignore the good characters that have come before and embrace the anarchy.

I’ve given you my own captions for the images. It’s more of a literal view of what you see. Nothing to do with what is actually being shown. Who knows, I may even be correct.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits — Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
