Cobain: Montage of Heck’s first image

Named after one of the mix-tapes that Kurt recorded in 1988. This documentary is the first one that has been fully authorized by his family. More specifically, his daughter Frances Bean who is the executive producer on the film.

We have been sent over the first image from the film.  I’m not sure what it says about the documentary as I would have expected a more of a classic image of the Nirvana frontman and not a strange painting of a house

Kurt Cobain-House
There hasn’t been a press release released, just yet, with the official synopsis and other information.  With that out of the way, the below is, almost, the synopsis.  I don’t expect it to change in the meantime.

The film will be getting its international debut at the Berlin International Film Festival in February and then in UK cinemas a couple of months later.

FIRST LOOK of Brett Morgen’s highly anticipated documentary, COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK. As previously announced, this first ever, fully-authorized doc feature blends Cobain’s personal archive of art, music, written word, and never-before-seen home movies, with animation and revelatory interviews from his family and closest confidantes.

Hitting UK cinemas April 2015
